The May regatta racing was challenging and fun. The Saturday race course was to Catch 22 beach. Winds were in the 6 to 12 knot range which resulted in a challenging beat up the coast in sloppy water. Fortunately the race committee moved the mark almost out of the bay and the shortened course allowed more boats to finish. We had a nice run the finish in 12 knot breezes.
The Sunday course was in the bay with 10 to 15 knot winds, almost perfect sailing. San Francisco Bay has some of the most consistent breezes you will find anywhere and when you add 70 degree turquoise waters surrounded with beautiful scenery, well, it is just hard to beat.
